Exclusive: Uma Thurman tries to survive 'Motherhood'
A word of warning regarding those upscale NYC bakeries
It may be another few years before Quentin Tarantino's third "Kill Bill" even begins filming, but in the meantime Uma Thurman isn't resting on her laurels. The Oscar-nominated actress will return this spring as the iconic character Medusa (hopefully a prettier version than what we're used to) in "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," but before she goes all tent pole on everyone she'll bring a dose of reality to "Motherhood."
The Sundance Film Festival comedy centers on one day in the life of Eliza (Thurman), a mother with two young daughters who begins to think she's losing herself as a full time parent. In this exclusive clip embedded to the left, Eliza discovers the drawbacks of buying her child's birthday cake at one of the hipper bakeries in New York City's West Village. "Motherhood" opens in theaters across the country this Friday.

October 20, 2009 at 12:36PM EST Reply to CommentThis doesn't make me want to see this movie. At all. Portraying hipsters as smug and idiotic (it's her fault because she gave her kid the wrong name? One, not funny and two, totally stupid. How about getting annoyed because she's holding up the line?)doesn't make parents look any cooler, sorry.
