Exclusive Clip: Paul Giamatti searches for 'Cold Souls'
The Sundance favorite hits theaters in August
Paul Giamatti in "Cold Souls."
One of the more intriguing films to come out of this year's Sundance Film Festival was "Cold Souls."
Directed by Sophia Barthes and starring Paul Giamatti, the dramatic thriller finds the acclaimed actor playing Paul, a frustrated man who, according to the film's synopsis, "stumbles upon a solution to his anxiety via an article in The New Yorker about a high-tech company that promises to alleviate suffering by deep-freezing and storing souls. An unfortunate victim of 'soul-trafficking,' Paul’s journey takes us through Russia in hopes of retrieving his soul from a talentless soap-opera actress."
And that's where this exclusive clip brings us in the story. Check out this extended two-minute scene for a taste of the new independent Sci-Fi hitting theaters with movies like "Souls" and the current indie hit "Moon."
"
Cold Souls" opens August 7 in limited release.
