Eve will guest star on FOX's 'Glee'
Other 'Glee' guests include Josh Groban, Kristen Chenoweth and Victor Garber
Rapper-actress-designer Eve has lined up a multi-episode guest arc on the first season of FOX's "Glee."
The network announced on Wednesday (June 24) that Eve will appear in at least two episodes as the coach of a rival glee club, one that threatens McKinley High's hot streak.
Eve joins an increasingly long line of upcoming "Glee" guest stars with musical or theatrical pedigrees, a group that includes Josh Groban, Kristen Chenoweth and Victor Garber.
"Glee," which had a limited May premiere post-"American Idol," will return to FOX for its first season on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
Eve's fourth studio album, "Flirt," will drop later this year. A Grammy winner for "Let Me Blow Ya Mind," Eve's acting credits include "Barbershop," "The Cookout" and the three-season run of her own eponymous UPN sitcom.

September 10, 2009 at 12:57AM EST Reply to CommentLet me start by saying that I am not a fan of the over commercialized television shows that find a way into every aspect of my TV viewing experience (i.e. a constant ticker or banner for when the next season or episode of “Heroes†is going to air…great show but give me a break). I’m a network security auditor that is against piracy but an advocate of freedom of the arts; I believe that if a movie, song, poem or book, isn’t available in my language or in the format I wish to enjoy it in isn’t available, i have the right to attain it in a matter of my choosing for the sake of demonstration and protestation.
With all that out of the way I find myself watching this television show called “Gleeâ€. It has a simple premise…A group of outcasts finding themselves utterly drawn to the age old traditions of song and dance. I was in my church choir, middle school choir, high school choir, and I sucked at it. I was a baritone singing with tenors and I have nightmares about my senior year solo performance; but why did I do it? I loved to express myself through song. High school social dynamics made sure I knew I was doing the WRONG thing so I also participated in sports for the sole purpose of being accepted. The premise, humor, sarcasm, and social contradictions of “Glee†are exactly what I have been waiting for in a TV show. Fox has done an amazing job of delivering this show to its viewers. Ladies and gentleman I actually watched the series premiere WITH COMMERCIALS. I couldn’t wait for the FF> version from my dvr.
I am sure to be criticized for this post but I am going to post it on every forum I am a member of for the sole purpose of emphasizing one point…the fine arts are dying and this show may be the adrenaline that brings it back to life. Bravo for using the actors actual voices!
Please watch this show, record this show, share this show with your friends. Keep the musical arts alive.
