Ellen Page reveals her 'Whip It' roller derby skills and talks Christoper Nolan's 'Inception'

Says it's 'a joy' to work with the 'Dark Knight' director

Many people in Hollywood weren't sure that Ellen Page could have a long career after such an iconic role as the snarky pregnant teen in "Juno," but after taking some time to carefully choose her follow up projects she's beginning to prove them wrong.

The Friday the Oscar-nominee shows her range as the naive, but dreaming of escaping her small town, um, teen Bliss in Drew Barrymore's directorial debut "Whip It."  She also displays her roller derby skills as a speedy jammer scoring around the track.  In fact, co-star Juliette Lewis told HitFix Page would have to slow down in their scenes together so it looked like Lewis was beating her.  Not too shabby.

When we spoke a few weeks ago to promote "Whip It" at the Toronto Film Festival Page was also taking a break from filming Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated new thriller "Inception."  Page couldn't give much away about the film's shrouded in secrecy storyline, but her enthusiasm for the project was clearly evident.

Check out my interview with Page embedded on this page or, for a larger version, click here.

"Whip It" opens nationwide on Friday. Get tickets or find out more here.

htReally loved Ellen Page in the movie. I'm absolutely hooked on derby since I went to the derby league in Montreal.

The girls were amazing! It's actually the first non US league to be part of the Derby association.

I shot a video while I was there with my girlfriends, sooo much fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2AYCc-MvQ4
