Comic-Con Exclusive: Bon Iver, Thom Yorke confirmed for 'New Moon'

Director is including Band Of Skulls, with a chance of Kings Of Leon

Director Chris Weitz has confirmed to HitFix.com that Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Bon Iver will be contributing all-new tracks to the film "Twilight Saga: New Moon."

"I selfishly want to put songs in by artists I love. And some the cast and crew also happen to love," says Weitz. "I think [Bon Iver] is fantastic. He says he wrote it for the film, but who ever knows if it might just be something laying around in his cupboard."

Weitz mentioned that he will be listening to Yorke's new track tomorrow (July 24) and "unless it's sounds of him belching, I think I'll put it in."

The comments came during the "Twilight" sequel cast and crew interviews at Comic-Con in San Diego, the multi-day fest at the Convention Center.

British rock group Band Of Skulls -- who have lately been opening for Spinnerette -- will also be included and Weitz still is "hoping to get Kings Of Leon."

As previously reported, Alexandre Desplat will be scoring the film, the sounds of which Weitz describes as "lush. That's how I wanted the cinematography to be."

mary hana pestles "need" should be in new moon it fits it perfectly and they would be stupid not to put it in it there are so many twilight fans who love this song and thinks it should be in it she even has a myspace page for it called need for new moon and she has so many fans that are constently telling her how her song should be in the movie hers a link to the myspace http://www.myspace.com/needfornewmoon they should definently put this song in there if not ill be realy bummed

cathy i realy think hana pestles song "need" should be in the movie and on the sound track its such a great song and it goes with it perfectly it should definatlry be in it.

ash Just listened to Hana pestles 'need', you guys are right, it should be in the film. But I also think that Nightwish has two great songs that would fit into the film(s) : 'while your lips are still red' and 'everdream', who ever puts the tracks into the twilight films, please listen to these before you release the film !!, any body agree ? hope so :D
