Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are on the verge of leaving "Grey's Anatomy" for good, according to one of their co-stars.

Both Heigl and Knight's departures had been rumored at various points in recent months, but it took James Pickens Jr. to make the exits sound definitive.

Talking to the good people of Us Weekly at a weekend NAACP Awards luncheon in Beverly Hills, Pickens left little doubt that the cast (or he) thinks Heigl will be leaving.

"Yes, she is." Pickens told the magazine. "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."

The writers have certainly been setting Heigl's Izzie Stevens up for a potential medical battle, even if the most recent episode ended with the character relieved at a diagnosis of anemia.

Much has also been written about Knight's discontentment on the "Grey's Anatomy" set. He and Heigl have been described as close allies.

While Izzie's exit has potentially been set up, it remains to be be seen how George would be written out, should Pickens be correct in his assessment. And his quotes leave little doubt that he thinks he is.

"He's going too," Pickens told Us Weekly. "He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

Reached for comment, neither the network nor ABC Studios would confirm the departures.
