TV fans are probably wondering why Thursday was so relaxed for Comic-Con TV highlights and why Saturday and Sunday both are such bears.
If you were capable of being in two places at once, you're be able to start your Saturday with "Chuck," spend the afternoon with 20th Century Fox TV animation (including "Futurama") and still find a way to see a slew of fall TV pilots, including "No Ordinary Family," "Nikita" and "The Event." You'd do all of those things, but if you were capable of being in only two places at once, you might miss panels for "Community" and "The Venture Brothers."
Oh well.
Here are some of the Saturday Comic-Con highlights on the TV side, but probably not all.
10:00 - 10:45
Ballroom 20
Who: Creators Josh Schwart and Chris Fedak will be joined by Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Sarah Lancaster, Adam Baldwin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay and Mark Christopher Lawrence. That's a lot of "Chuck" people.
Lowdown: Last year's "Chuck" panel was a Comic-Con highlight and this year's panel promises another "special video presentation," so we're guessing you don't want to miss the "Chuck" gang this year either. And as if that isn't enough, this year's panel will be co-moderated (however that works) by HitFix's Alan Sepinwall and Daniel Fienberg. We don't care what's happening in Hall H. This is where you want to be.
"Family Guy"
11:00 - 11:45
Ballroom 20
Who: Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and "others."
Lowdown: Who will "Family Guy" be offending this year? There's only one way to find out. Come to this panel. It'll also be a chance to see clips from the upcoming "Family Guy" take on "Return of the Jedi." Do Seth and company like Ewoks? We're dying to find out.
"The Event"
11:15 - 12:15
Room 6A
Who: Producers Evan Katz, Steve Stark and Jeffrey Reiner will be joined by stars including Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Laura Innes, Sarah Roemer, Zeljko Ivanek and Ian Anthony Dale.
Lowdown: What is The Event? Honestly? We don't know. NBC keeps asking, but even critics don't know. So this will be the first opportunity for anybody to see the pilot. Cool, right? Plus, this will finally be a chance to find out how much Comic-Con crowds love Zeljko Ivanek.
"The Cleveland Show"
11:45 - 12:30
Ballroom 20
Who: Seth MacFarlane's back, along with Mike Henry, Rich Appel, Sanaa Lathan and the incomparable Kevin Michael Richardson.
Lowdown: Stuck between "Family Guy" and "Futurama," it's... "The Cleveland Show."
"The Venture Brothers"
12:00 - 1:00
Indigo Ballroom, San Diego Hilton Bayfront
Who: Creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer will be joined by Patrick Warburton and James Urbaniak to show clips and chat about their animated favorite.
Lowdown: Who was the genius who scheduled "Venture Brothers" and "Futurama" to overlap? Not wise. Expect failed cloning attempts galore. If the person next to you looks like the Brundle Fly, don't make eye contact.
12:45 - 1:30
Ballroom 20
Who: Creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen will be joined by vocal stars Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, and Maurice LaMarche, director Crystal Chesney-Thompson, plus directors and writers galore.
Lowdown: Last year, fans knew "Futurama" was coming back, but negotiations with the stars were becoming increasingly acrimonious and the result was the most awkward Comic-Con panel in recent memory. This year? The gang is back together!
1:00 - 2:00
Indigo Ballroom, San Diego Hilton Bayfront
Who: Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne and producers Martin Wood and Damian Kindler will hold court at The Hotel Next Door.
Lowdown: There are plenty of other things happening at the same time, but don't you want to see what kind of crazy green screen work the "Sanctuary" gang has planned for Comic-Con?
"The Simpsons"
1:30 - 2:15
Ballroom 20
Who: Matt Groening, Al Jean and Matt Selman talk "Simpsons."
Lowdown: What's in store for Season 22? And when is the next movie coming out? Find out at the latest "Simpsons" Comic-Con panel.
2:30 - 3:15
Ballroom 20
Who: Stars Elizabeth Mitchell, Morris Chestnut, Joel Gretsch, Logan Huffman, Laura Vandervoort, Charles Mesure, Morena Baccarin and Scott wolf will be joined by producers Scott Rosenbaum and Steve Pearlman.
Lowdown: When will "V" be returning to ABC? And when will the Visitors start eating rodents? Now's as good a time as any to find out details about Season Two of the NBC reboot.
3:00 - 4:00
Indigo Ballroom, San Diego Hilton Bayfront
Who: Basically every single person who's ever had anything to do with "Community."
Lowdown: Some comedy casts aren't as funny when they're left to their own devices. Put Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs and Alison Brie on a dais together, though? Funny happens.
"No Ordinary Family"
3:15 - 4:15
Who: Producers Greg Berlanti, Jon Harmon Feldman and David Semel will be on-hand along with stars Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz.
Lowdown: ABC's new superhero family series is one of the most buzzed about pilots of the year. You get to see it now. Plus, the schedule promises that everybody in the room "will receive a surprise." A superpower of their very own?
3:15 - 4:15
Ballroom 20
Who: Producers Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman will be on the panel along with stars Anna Torv , Joshua Jackson, John Noble, and Jasika Nicole, plus, in their first Con appearances, Lance Reddick and Blair Brown.
Lowdown: Wait. Lance Reddick never was on a Comic-Con panel for "The Wire"? In any case, expect plenty of discussion of the series-ending two-parter, as well as questions about who would win in a fight between Pacey and Peter Bishop.
"Warehouse 13" and "Eureka"
3:30 - 5:00
Room 6BCF
Who: Most of the stars and producers of Syfy's two popular dramas will be there, including Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Colin Ferguson and new "Eureka" addition James Callies, who probably has a couple fans at the Con from things he did previously.
Lowdown: Do you have 90 minutes of questions about "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka"? Impressive.
"The Vampire Diaries"
4:15 - 5:00
Ballroom 20
Who: Creators Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson will be joined by stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, plus at least two other castmembers who won't get to answer questions.
Lowdown: We all know that the "Vampire Diaries" team is one big happy family and the three stars love each other, but how much do they love each other? And what's in store for Season Two of the CW hit?
5:15 - 6:15
Who: Maggie Q, plus co-stars Shane West and Lyndsy Fonseca and creator Craig Silverstein will talk up their CW series.
Lowdown: Want to see the full "Nikita" pilot months before it premieres on The CW? Here's your chance.
Adult Swim: "Aqua Teen Hunger Force," "Squidbillies," "Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!" and "Mary Shelley's Frakenhole"
5:30 - 6:30
Who: The series creators of all of the various shows listed above.
Lowdown: Several beloved Adult Swim creators in a room for an hour? What more do you need?
"Human Target"
6:15 - 7:00
Who: New showrunner Matthew Miller is joined by stars Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley.
Lowdown: We're curious what "Chuck" veteran Miller has in store for the new season and Haley, McBride and Valley are three of our favorite people. We wouldn't miss this one for the world. Unless we have to get into our costumes for Masquerade.
Comic-Con International runs from July 21-25 at the San Diego Convention Center. Unfortunately, all passes are currently sold out.
