Emmy-winning comedy legend (NBC's words, not ours) Chevy Chase has signed on for a multi-episode arc on on "Chuck."

NBC announced Thursday (Jan. 15) that Chase will play a computer genius on the second-year action dramedy, with his episodes premiering this spring.

Chase will play Ted Roark, the brilliant founder of Roark Instruments. Roark was apparently a hero to Young Chuck, who once dreamed of working at Roark Instruments. Now Big Chuck (Zachary Levi) is about to learn some interesting things about Roark and his company.

We don't know what they are, mind you.

Chase won two Emmys for his work in the original cast of "Saturday Night Live" and went on to star in films including "Caddyshack," "Fletch," "The Three Amigos" and the "Vacation" movies. He was most recently seen on the small screen in two episodes of ABC's "Brothers & Sisters."
