CBS puts 'Flashpoint' back on the beat
Canadian police drama will return to CBS for 13 episodes later this year

Facing sagging ratings for several of its Friday procedurals, plus a lackluster debut for the medical drama "Three Rivers," CBS has ordered up a third season of the Canadian-produced police drama "Flashpoint."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, CTV had already renewed "Flashpoint" for a third season, but CBS has come onboard for the 13 episodes, which will air at some point later this season.
"Flashpoint," which features Enrico Colantoni and Hugh Dillon in its ensemble cast, delivered reliable Friday night numbers for CBS last year after replacing the freshman failure "The Ex List," averaging 9.6 million viewers and an acceptable (for Friday nights) 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Personally I'd put it just behind NCIS as my favorites on the Network. You recognize duds when you see them and give strong shows a second chance. Let's hope it finds the audience to keep it around this time.
