Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren and Nic Cage confirmed for Comic-Con 2010
Stars will promote their new Summit Entertainment movies 'Red' and 'Drive Angry'
Helen Mirren will bring her gun-totting, Oscar-winning charm to Hall H to discuss her new thriller "Red."
The "Twilight" franchise may be taking this Comic-Con off, but Summit Entertainment certainly isn't. The mini-major is bringing some big stars to San Diego to promote their upcoming genre-friendly features "Red" and "Drive Angry 3D." Most notably, the four-day convention will feature the first appearance of none other than Oscar winner Helen Mirren.
The former "Queen" will join co-stars Bruce Willis (perhaps also on hand for "The Expendables"), Karl Urban and Mary Louise Parker in discussing their new thriller "Red." While Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich are currently not scheduled to attend, the rest of the crew will appear in the San Diego Convention Center's Hall H between 2:15 and 3:15 on Thursday, July 22.
Thursday is turning out to be quite a busy day at the con with "Tron Legacy" already having announced its morning panel and rumored showcases featuring "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and "The Green Hornet" among others.
On Friday, Summit will showcase the new R-rated thriller "Drive Angry 3D" with a panel featuring con veteran Nicolas Cage, Amber Heard and cult character actor William Fichtner. That event will occur 10:30 and 11 AM also in Hall H. No word on why the film's villain, Billy Burke, won't be in attendance.
