Romances seem to be in vogue at Summit Entertainment. The studio is about to shoot the Robert Pattinson romantic drama "Remember Me" and now, according to Variety, has recruited Amanda Seyfried, Gael Garcia Bernal and Vanessa Redgrave to star in "Letters to Juliet."
Based on a book about the letters written by modern "lovelorn" broken hearts to the iconic Juliet Capulet by Lise and Ceil Friedman, the movie centers on a couple (Seyfriend and Bernal) who while on a trip to Italy receive a note intended for Juliet penned by a woman (Regrave) searching for a young man who romanced her during a vacation in the country decades before. Seyfried's character scours Tuscany to find the woman's former love (Franco Nero).
"Big Love" and "Mamma Mia!" star Seyfried will next appear on the big screen alongside Megan Fox in the thriller "Jennifer's Body" and then opposite Channing Tatum in another romance, "Dear John."
Garcia Bernal can currently be found in "Rudo y Cursi" in limited release across the country.
"Juliet" will be directed by Gary Winick ("Bride Wars," "13 Going on 30") and is expected to begin shooting June 25.
