The East Coast may be getting Mariah Carey for New Year's Eve, but the West Coast has staked a claim in Adam Lambert.

The "American Idol" star is slated to take the main stage at midnight at the GRIDLOCK New Year's Eve 2010 event in Hollywood, Calif.

Other acts like Kevin Rudolf and Wonderland are scheduled to play the night, with DJs and entertainment rolling 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Paramount Pictures Studio.

Tickets are on sale now at $150 a pop for general admission -- plus at least $15 in service charges -- for the 5,000-person capacity space. "The entire New York Street back lot facility of Paramount will be turned into "Times Square West" for this one-of-a kind, six square block party," read a statement. Check out full details at the Gridlock website.

Some proceeds will go to benefit the Red Cross.

Lambert is slated to perform on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" tonight (Dec. 14) on NBC and "So You Think You Can Dance" on Wednesday.
