Keeping its development in the family, ABC has ordered a trio of dramas from ABC Studios, including one from "Grey's Anatomy" mastermind Shonda Rhimes.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has ordered pilots for the Rhimes-produced "Inside the Box," the "Ally McBeal" meets Jack & Bobby" drama "I, Claudia" and a remake of Argentina's "Brothers & Detectives."

"Inside the Box" is Rhimes' latest attempt to make a female-skewing series set against a journalistic backdrop. This new series, written by Richard E. Robbins, focuses on an ambitious female news producer working out of a Washington network news bureau.

Rhimes' previous journalistic endeavor was a 2006 pilot pushed aside due to her commitments to "Grey's Anatomy" and eventually "Private Practice."

Meanwhile, "I, Claudia" was created by John Scott Shepherd, who previously worked with ABC on the short-lived summer experiment "The Days." Its focus is on a young attorney (named "Claudia," naturally), who has no idea that someday she'll be a candidate for the presidency. See what we meant by "Ally McBeal" meets "Jack & Bobby"?

The final pilot, "Brothers & Detectives" (sure to change names to avoid confusion with ABC's "Brothers & Sisters"), focuses on a detective who discovers that his 11-year-old brother is a brilliant crime-solver. Daniel Cerone ("Dexter," "Clubhouse") wrote and will executive produce the pilot.
