<p>Paramount has released the first trailer from "The Last Airbender."</p>
<p>The studio would no doubt like audiences to look at "The Last Airbender" as the live-action adaptation of the beloved Emmy-winning animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender," rather than as M. Night Shyamalan's follow-up to "The Happening."</p>
<p>"The Last Airbender," which will be Shyamalan's first film from pre-existing material, stars Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, and Dev Patel and will be released on July 2, 2010.</p>
<p>For viewers who want to see the teaser on the big screen, it will play in front of <a href="../../events/2008-12-14-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen">"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"</a> starting late Tuesday night.</p>
