Amazingly, 21 years after the first "Die Hard," Hollywood still considers Bruce Willis a top draw as an action star. Like Harrison Ford and Sylvester Stallone, moviegoers don't seem inclined to watch their favorite action icons slow down and Willis is definitely in that exclusive circle.

It's not surprising then, that according to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is circling three different pictures at the moment that will somehow require him to carry a gun: the thriller "Inventory," the CIA drama "Red" and the mafia flick "Scarpa."

Summit Entertainment, fresh of their successes with "Twilight" and "Knowing," have made an offer for Willis to star in "Red," but the trade notes that both sides say an agreement may not come to pass. Based on the Wildstorm/DC Comic, the movie would find Willis playing a retired black-ops agent who is forced back into action when a high-tech killer threatens him and his girlfriend. The project is out to directors and Willis' "16 Blocks" collaborator Richard Donner is said to be on the shortlist.

Morgan Creek is trying to get Willis to play the lead role in "Carpa," an Antoine Fuqua biopic about Greg Scarpa, an FBI informant who worked under cover in New York's Columbo family.

And the last picture that Willis is considering is "Inventory," which would find the actor in the very familiar role of a detective on the trail of a murderer. Willis is said to be in serious negotiations for that particular project.

A fourth film, the Warner Bros. buddy comedy "A Couple of Dicks" looks like it will be Willis next picture and reunite him with his "Live Free or Die Hard" co-star Kevin Smith, who will put on his more familiar director's cap for this one.

Needless to say, the massive success of 2007's "Live Free" put the shine back on his particular star and it hasn't worn off yet. Audiences will find Willis on the big screen this September when the Sci-Fi thriller "Surrogates" hits theaters.
