CBS ordered a quintet of pilots on Friday (Feb. 6) afternoon, including a medical drama from network good luck charm Jerry Bruckheimer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS picked up Bruckheimer's "Miami Trauma" and the dramas "Three Rivers" and "The Good Wife," plus comedies "Accidentally on Purpose" and "Waiting to Die."

"Miami Trauma" was created by Jeffrey Lieber, who will executive produce along with Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman.

You'll never guess what the pilot is about.

What? A group of trauma surgeons in Miami? Oh well. You were able to guess.

Bruckheimer TV knows Miami from a little show called "CSI: Miami."

Also trying to bringing medical excitement to CBS is the organ donor drama "Three Rivers," from writer Carol Barbee and producers Curtis Hanson and Carol Fenelon.

"Three Rivers" looks at the organ transplant process from the point of view of the doctor, the donor and the recipient.

The third drama pilot ordered is "The Good Wife," from CBS Paramount TV and Scott free, a legal drama about a politician's wife who goes back to work as a defense attorney.

Robert King and Michelle King ("In Justice"), wrote the pilot, which has received a cast-contingent order.

On the comedy front, "Accidentally on Purpose" was adapted by Claudia Londow from Mary F. Pols' autobiographical novel about a San Francisco movie critic who has a liaison with a younger man and finds herself pregnant. Complications ensue.

Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun will produce through their BermanBraun shingle.

"Waiting to Die," written by Will Sasso and Chad Kultgen, is a buddy comedy from Sony TV and Tantamount.
