NBC 'Trauma'-tizes Derek Luke

Derek Luke, Cliff Curtis, Jamey Sheridan and Kevin Rankin are all set for NBC's 'Trauma' pilot, while Guillermo Diaz will co-star in Mercy for the network.

HitFix Staff   Currently co-starring in the nation's top-grossing movie, Derek Luke is mulling a move to the small screen, taking a lead in NBC's drama pilot "Trauma." Also joining the cast of the Universal Media Studio-produced EMT procedural are Cliff Curtis, Jamey Sheridan and NBC favorite Kevin Rankin. According to <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i205e36d6d9755053c443dd6ae8212469">The Hollywood Reporter</a>, Luke ("Notorious," "Madea Goes to Jail") will play a trauma doctor and family man. Curtis ("Live Free or Die Hard") will play a surgeon and adrenaline junkie, with Sheridan ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent") as the doctor who runs the trauma center. Rankin, whose recent NBC credits include "Friday Night Lights" and "Bionic Woman," will play a firetruck-driving paramedic.
