Jason Clarke has landed the lead in an untitled CBS legal pilot.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clarke will topline the ensemble of The Eye's drama set at a Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office.
Clarke will play the section chief overseeing a team of four lawyers and a fleet of paralegals.
Following television's ongoing casting trend, CBS seems to be looking abroad for casting, with Aussie Clarke joining Lennie James in the pilot.
Clarke toplines Showtime's "Brotherhood." His feature credits include "Death Race" and the upcoming "Public Enemies."
Using Clarke as the "big name," The Hollywood Reporter had an assortment of smaller casting pieces in the same story.
For example, Jonathan Sadowski, Kevin Simpson, Noureen Dewulf and Ricky Mabe have been cast in "Two Dollar Beer," a FOX comedy about twentysomethings who get together to drink beer and talk.
Ah, FOX comedies.
And FOX's drama about past-life investigators has added Nick Bishop, Kelli Giddish and Ravi Patel to its cast.
