We know she hasn't had any truly memorable projects outside of her run on "24," but we wouldn't exactly say that Elisha Cuthbert has been forgotten.

Oh wait. Nevermind. Elisha Cuthbert hasn't been forgotten, she's just been cast in a recurring role on ABC's mostly unremembered freshman procedural "The Forgotten."

ABC announced on Monday (Dec. 7) that Cuthbert will join the cast of "The Forgotten" in February playing Maxine Denver, described as "a strong and successful Chicago professional who is forced to put her skepticism of 'amateur detectives' aside when The Forgotten Network begins investigating a case close to home."

Despite lackluster ratings and reviews, "The Forgotten" has already been picked up for a limited number of episodes beyond its initial 13-episode order (i.e. not a full back-nine).

The drama stars Christian Slater, Michelle Borth, Heather Stephens, Bob Stephenson, Anthony Kerrigan and Rochelle Aytes.

Cuthbert's casting on "The Forgotten" will be a welcome reunion for tiny fan base of the indie drama "He Was a Quiet Man." In addition to her run on FOX's "24" as frequently endangered Kim Bauer, Cuthbert's credits include the features "Captivity," "My Sassy Girl" and the upcoming "The Six Wives of Henry Lefay."

And yes, we agree that her roles in "Old School" and "The Girl Next Door" were both perfectly memorable.
