UPDATE: Wal-Mart denies 'blackballing' Chris Brown's 'Graffiti': Is the singer crying wolf?

Does Chris Brown's "Graffiti" deserve stronger sales?

Poll: Does Chris Brown's "Graffiti" deserve lower sales because of his crime?

Chris Brown, in his infinite wisdom and elegance, has spoken his feelings on big box retailer Wal-Mart with strongly-worded Tweets.

"im tired of this sh*t. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f*** do i gotta do..." Brown typed on his Twitter account on Friday (stars ours). "WTF... yeah i said it and i aint retracting sh*t," came shortly after, followed by "im not biting my tongue about sh*t else... the industry can kiss my ass," "for those people who r constantly tweeting me wit bullsh*t.. hop off my ****.. ur life is pointless." (The latter stars were his.)

He capped the tirade with "for the young fans.. honestly, sorry for all the cursing.." and "all my fans... love you.. thx for everything," followed by the usual parade of "buy my album" bits and Retweets of fan support.

Brown later got specific about one Wal-Mart in particular that wasn't stocking the album: "JUST WAS AT WALMART IN wallingford CT,844 north colony.. the didnt even have my album in the back... not on shelves, saw for myself" he said at midnight on Sunday. He went further to say that the manager at the store said that it's mandatory for new releases to be put on shelves.

Which is simply not true. For one, Wal-Mart has a history of choosing not to carry certain titles in its stores, because of the strength of the Parental Advisory sticker, the content, the album cover, a multitude of reasons. Secondly, people who wish purchase via Wal-Mart can order through it's website, which seems to have no problem with the album.

And third, Wal-Mart  denies that they pulled his disc from shelves anywhere in the country.

"We are surprised at the comments on Twitter, since all Walmart stores carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford store mentioned in [Brown's] post. This store had in fact sold through their copies over the weekend. The majority of our stores are showing today they have copies on hand," a corporate representative told HitFix. "We are showing all CDs delivered to all stores. It a very, very busy week for movie and music sales so it is likely more a matter of re-stocking."

Other massive retailers like Best Buy and Target are stocking the album, as are digital retailers like Amazon and iTunes. Whether this is a store-by-store stocking issue, it's not as if Brown's album hard to find. Conclusion: Wal-Mart is not the sole reason why Chris Brown's "Graffiti" isn't selling as well as he, or his label, had hoped, with it poised to come in at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 chart later this week.

Which brings us back to the original, rhetorical question that Brown poised: "what the f**k do i gotta do?"

He's probably referring to the many media appearances about the night he beat Rihanna, refering to it as an "incident" and a "happening." He's apologized many times on national television shows and radio.

But isn't this the same guy who should be doing some back-breaking community labor right now, instead of touring, releasing an album and bragging about girls rushing the stage? Plenty of people are still unmoved even after the media barrage, and even moreso may be now, as he seeks sympathy using 140 characters or less.

    • It's possible that they undershipped the album expecting it not to be received well. It's more likely that someone at the store is having the issue that most commenters on websites have being that they put their personal feeling son the matter into actually doing their job. His rant came from fans tweeting to him that they couldn't find the cd, not him doing a city by city hunt. Music is his job. Everyone wants folks to stop doing their job in order to atone for their crimes/faults. Mike Vick went to jail for a year and folks didn't want him to play football again. Folks don't want Tiger to play golf. In a year or so it will be like Kobe and R. Kelly and folks will have pushed it to the back of their minds and went on with their lives. To some degree he should have just waited. He did his community service both labor and charity as well as the classes but when it looks like folks are still punishing you after almost a year of trying to atone you are bound to be frustrated.

Let you ever do anything that the country and possibly the world will scorn you for. And if you do let them tell you that you can't make a living afterward and see how you feel about it.

    • Hahaha! I am glad his cd was unsuccesful. I wouldnt give the loser eye water to cry with. And for all of the ladies who stick by this ape, and make excuses for his lack of anger management skills, you each deserve a man just like him, someone to bash your head into the window and then gorilla beat you to near death. It is a cycle, I am sure you saw your female role models beaten and mistreated. Either way, it is not ok.
