Fast National ratings for Friday, November 6, 2009.

ABC's "20/20" got a Friday ratings bump from an exclusive interview with pop star Rihanna, which wasn't enough to claim the night overall, but it did give the network a rare Friday split.

Among adults 18-49, ABC and CBS both averaged a 1.8 rating to win the night in the key demographic. NBC was a close third with a 1.6 rating, with FOX's 1.2 rating and the 0.9 rating for The CW trailing.

Overall, though, CBS averaged an estimated 7.87 million viewers to go with a 5.1 rating/9 share, holding off NBC, which had a 4.5/8 and averaged nearly 7 million viewers. ABC was third overall with a 3.9/7, with FOX's 2.6/4 taking fourth. The CW was fifth with a 1.3/2.

NBC won the 8 p.m. hour with a 5.2/9 for "Law & Order" (up by enough this week that we can't help but suspect that a live sporting event might have skewed the rating?). CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" was a close second with a 5.0/9 and tied with NBC for the hour in the key demo. ABC's "Supernanny" had a 3.2/6 for third, while FOX's "House" repeat held fourth. The CW's "Smallville" had another good week with a 1.7/3 and 2.76 million viewers, a  figure that's seemingly be rising every Friday.

A second "Law & Order" episode had a 5.4/9 for NBC in the 9 p.m. hour. CBS' "Medium" was second with a 4.9/9. ABC's "Ugly Betty" had a 3.2/6 for third. FOX's "Bones" repeat did a 2.6/4 and a 1.2 rating in the demo. That left The CW in fifth with an "America's Next Top Model" repeat.

ABC moved into first at 10 p.m. with a 5.5/10 for "20/20," which had a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demo, by far Friday's best. CBS' "Numb3rs" was second with a 5.2/10. NBC trailed with "The Jay Leno Show."
